Joo Jin-hyung Joins Open Democratic Party... "I Accept Open Nomination"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Joo Jin-hyung, former CEO of Hanwha Investment & Securities, announced his intention to run in the April 15 general election, stating he would participate in the Open Democratic Party's nomination process. The Open Democratic Party is a pro-government proportional representation party founded by Representative Son Hye-won and former Representative Jeong Bong-ju.
On the 16th, Joo said on his Facebook, "I have decided to respond to the Open Democratic Party's open nomination," adding, "If the people call, I will work; if they do not, I will go home."
Joo previously worked at Samsung Electronics, Samsung Securities, and Woori Financial Group, and served as CEO of Hanwha Investment & Securities for a three-year term. In January 2016, he joined the Democratic Party as the first recruit by then emergency committee leader Kim Jong-in and served as deputy head of the general election policy and pledge team. Joo also gained attention for actively testifying at the 'Choi Soon-sil state affairs manipulation' hearing at the end of that year.
