8 New COVID-19 Cases in Gyeongbuk... Additional Cases Reported in Gyeongsan and Gumi
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] As of midnight on the 17th, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Gyeongsangbuk-do was counted at 1,112, an increase of 8 from the previous day.
According to Gyeongbuk Province, the two places where new confirmed cases were reported in one day were Gyeongsan (6 cases) and Gumi (2 cases).
Accordingly, the current number of confirmed cases by city and county (based on resident registration) is highest in Gyeongsan with 530 cases, followed by Cheongdo 141, Bonghwa 61, Gumi 59, Chilgok 48, Pohang and Andong 47 each, Uiseong 42, Yeongcheon 36, Seongju 20, Gyeongju 18, Gimcheon 16, Sangju 15, Goryeong 7, Gunwi and Yecheon 6 each, Yeongju 5, Mungyeong 4, Yeongdeok 2, and Cheongsong and Yeongyang 1 each.
There were 3 deaths in one day on the 16th, bringing the total number of deaths to 23.
Also, 32 people were discharged, making a total of 201 fully recovered.
