The Born Korea Launches ‘Baek Jong-won's All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce’
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] The Born Korea announced on the 17th that it has launched the ‘Baek Jong-won's All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce (All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce),’ which allows you to complete delicious jangajji simply by pouring it over your desired ingredients without the hassle of complicated cooking processes.
The ‘All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce’ was introduced for consumers who want to cook for themselves but lack time due to busy daily lives. Its major advantage is that it can be easily used by everyone from beginners who are inexperienced in cooking to housewives who frequently prepare meals.
This new product, reflecting CEO Baek Jong-won's expertise, allows you to easily complete jangajji by just pouring it over your desired ingredients without the cumbersome process of boiling and cooling soy sauce multiple times. In particular, it uses licorice and shiitake mushroom concentrate to bring out a subtle sweetness and umami, boasting a harmonious blend of salty and sweet-sour flavors.
Not only ingredients commonly enjoyed as jangajji such as onions, perilla leaves, chili peppers, and garlic, but also ingredients like durup and garlic scapes can be placed in a container and poured with the ‘All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce,’ then left to mature at room temperature for half a day and in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days to enjoy deliciously. Additionally, beyond jangajji, thinly sliced onions soaked in the ‘All-Purpose Jangajji Soy Sauce’ can be enjoyed as pickled onions commonly served at Korean barbecue restaurants, making it highly versatile.
This new product is exclusively sold at Costco and can be found at all Costco stores nationwide, priced at 13,990 KRW (1.8ℓ*2 bottles).
