Gyeongnam Office of Education Urgently Provides COVID-19 Prevention Supplies to Closed Academies and Private Institutes
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 17th that it will urgently provide infection prevention supplies to academies and private institutes that actively participated in the recommendation to close temporarily to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and ensure the safety of students.
Earlier, as the COVID-19 crisis alert level was raised to 'serious,' the Gyeongnam Office of Education actively recommended temporary closure to frontline academies, and academies within the province have voluntarily joined in the temporary closure.
The Gyeongnam Office of Education decided to urgently allocate approximately 240 million KRW from contingency funds to support infection prevention supplies for temporarily closed academies, easing the burden on academies facing difficulties. They also plan to purchase and distribute items such as hand sanitizers to academies according to the supply situation of infection prevention materials.
