Former 7-Eleven Employee Raises Funds to Provide Masks to Daegu and Gyeongbuk Franchise Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] 'Sesamo' (the Association of Former Seven Eleven Employees), a group of retired Seven Eleven employees, is providing masks to franchise stores in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Seven Eleven announced on the 17th that Sesamo voluntarily raised funds, and current executives also joined forces to prepare 2,600 masks. These masks are scheduled to be delivered within this week to about 520 franchise stores in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas, which are experiencing great difficulties due to the COVID-19 situation.
Along with this mask support, Seven Eleven will also deliver ‘lunchboxes of love’ to medical staff in Daegu who are devoted on the front lines of COVID-19 prevention. On the afternoon of the 17th, Seven Eleven, together with Lotte Food, will deliver 250 lunchboxes to Daegu Medical Center, a designated COVID-19 hospital, through the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross, providing a warm meal to medical personnel and volunteers.
