Muan Fire Station Selected as 'Best Fire Safety Office' for Fire Safety Measures
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Muan Fire Station in Jeonnam (Chief Park Won-guk) announced on the 16th that it was selected as the best fire station (1st place) in the 2019 Jeollanam-do Winter Fire Safety Measures Comprehensive Evaluation.
This evaluation covered 13 promotion tasks, 54 detailed indicators, and 15 special policies aimed at fire prevention measures involving citizen participation and empathy, as well as minimizing fire occurrences and casualties, conducted over four months from November last year to February.
In particular, as a special policy, the station received high praise for reinforcing priority evacuation safety facilities at vulnerable facilities such as nursing hospitals within the jurisdiction by installing 'Occupancy Notification Boards' for bedridden patients, promoting faster and safer alarm equipment (smoke detectors), and focusing on preventive publicity activities for citizens' safety.
As the representative of Jeonnam, the Muan Fire Station's safety measure performance will be re-evaluated by the National Fire Agency among fire stations in each city and province, with plans to award government honors to outstanding institutions and contributors. Major policies will be shared and disseminated to all fire stations.
