Cases of Japanese Returning Home After Contracting COVID-19 in Europe Continue
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Cases of Japanese nationals infected with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) after visiting Europe, where the virus is spreading, and returning home are continuing.
On the 15th, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced that two males in their teens and twenties who entered Japan from Europe through Haneda (羽田) Airport tested positive for COVID-19.
Among them, the man in his twenties stayed in Italy, where the highest number of COVID-19 cases occurred in Europe, from the 2nd to the 6th, then traveled through France and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before arriving on the 13th. The teenager stayed in Italy for about six months and returned on the 14th.
Earlier, among the 10 people confirmed infected in Tokyo, three were found to have recently traveled to Europe.
