Lotte Cultureworks Infuses Young Talent to Practice Social Contribution
University Student Supporters 'Carrot' 4th Generation Selection
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jong-gil] Lotte Cultureworks is revitalizing its social contribution projects by injecting young talent. This is the university student supporter group called ‘Carrot,’ which has been operating since 2017. It provides various practical experiences to university students preparing to enter society.
Lotte Cultureworks selected twenty members for the 4th generation of ‘Carrot’ on the 13th after document screening and online video interviews. These talents were chosen through a competitive ratio of 30 to 1. Son Sik, head of the Future Business Team at the Children and Future Foundation, which was in charge of recruitment, explained, “We used interest in the film industry and content planning and production capabilities as evaluation criteria. The selected students will participate in content production, promotion, and marketing activities until December to practice social contribution.”
The main activities include the ‘Film Production Classroom’ and the ‘Film Production Experience Camp.’ They meet aspiring filmmakers from all over the country to assist with production and experiential education and serve as mentors for career counseling. They also participate in Lotte Cultureworks’ social contribution projects such as ‘Star Chair’ and ‘Movie Hawaii.’ In addition to event management, they develop various related contents to enhance their promotion and marketing skills.
