Home&Shopping Provides Emergency Home Shopping Broadcast Support for Daegu and Gyeongbuk SMEs
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business announced on the 15th that they have decided to provide emergency support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions through the sales channel support project 'Ilsacheonri'.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cases of damage to the local grassroots economy are rapidly increasing, and a prolonged recession is expected. The plan is to revitalize the economy by supporting SMEs. Priority support will be given to 20 companies with products based in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the support broadcasts will be expanded in the future.
From the 16th, applications will be accepted through the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and preparations for broadcasting will be completed as quickly as possible, aiming to enable home shopping broadcasts within May. The 'Ilsacheonri' broadcast is Home&Shopping's representative SME sales channel support project, which has launched over 600 SME products since 2012. Through the Ilsacheonri broadcasts, many SMEs have been supported in their sales channels, and it has received positive responses by offering relatively low commission fees.

In addition to emergency broadcast support, Home&Shopping plans to donate a social contribution fund to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions to overcome COVID-19. The amount of support will be decided at the Social Contribution Deliberation Committee meeting next week. A Home&Shopping official said, "This emergency broadcast support was planned together with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business to help SMEs and small business owners in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are struggling due to the COVID-19 situation," adding, "We will continue to spare no effort in providing various support to overcome this national crisis."
