[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Novartis Korea (CEO Joshi Venugopal) donated 30,000 masks to vulnerable groups to participate in efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Novartis Korea recently donated 30,000 masks received from Novartis Global Headquarters to the nonprofit organization Hope Sharing People, to support vulnerable groups struggling with mask supply shortages due to the COVID-19 situation.
Joshi Venugopal, CEO of Novartis Korea, said, “I am very honored to be able to contribute even a little to the national efforts to resolve the COVID-19 crisis,” and added, “Novartis Korea prioritizes the health and safety of not only our employees but also our patients and medical staff, and will actively participate in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
On the 13th, Hope Sharing People urgently delivered 10,000 masks to Guro-gu, Seoul, where a recent cluster infection of COVID-19 occurred, and the remaining masks were distributed to vulnerable groups through social welfare facilities in blind spots nationwide.
