According to Ansan City on the 13th, Mr. A (67), residing in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu (19 Gwangdeokseo-ro), was confirmed positive on the 12th.
As a result, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the Ansan area has increased to four.
Mr. A visited the cardiology department at Danwon Hospital on the 11th for a regular check-up and was tested for COVID-19 due to symptoms such as fever. He was later confirmed positive and transferred to Anseong Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center.
Mr. A’s wife, children, and other family members are reportedly undergoing diagnostic tests and are under self-quarantine measures.
Ansan City has disinfected Mr. A’s residence and surrounding areas and is investigating the specific infection route and movement paths. The results of the investigation will be announced through the Ansan City Hall website, social network services (SNS), and safety alert text messages.
