11st, Helps Farmers Affected by 'COVID-19 Difficulties' with 42 Tons Sold in Ten Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] 11st is supporting online sales in collaboration with Daegu-Gyeongbuk Apple Cooperative and NH Nonghyup Card to help apple farmers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk who are struggling due to a sharp decline in sales.
On the 13th, 11st announced that apple farmers in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region have been facing difficulties as offline sales have plummeted due to the impact of COVID-19, and the volume of school meal deliveries has also decreased due to delays in school and clinic openings, prompting support for product clearance.
11st, together with Daegu-Gyeongbuk Apple Cooperative, is supporting the supply and online sales of products from affiliated apple farms and has arranged a 20% discount benefit in consultation with NH Nonghyup Card. Since the 2nd, 2,234 production farms from representative apple-producing areas such as Andong, Uiseong, and Yecheon in Gyeongbuk have participated in online sales on 11st, selling a total of 42 tons (t) of apples over ten days through 11st. This figure represents an approximately 130% increase compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, 11st will hold a time deal for four hours starting at 11 a.m. on the 14th, selling 4kg of sugar-selected Yecheon Busa apples from Gyeongbuk for 10,500 KRW. If paid with an NH Nonghyup Card, the price is discounted by 20% to 8,400 KRW. The 4kg Yecheon apples are priced at about 35% less than the market price.
