[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card has brought in an external executive as the head of the Comprehensive Finance Division.
On the 13th, Lotte Card announced through a recent executive appointment disclosure that Executive Director Jo Gye-won has been appointed as the head of the Comprehensive Finance Division. Executive Director Jo previously served as the Head of Management Planning Team at Hana Capital and the Head of Management Support Office at Accuon Savings Bank.
A Lotte Card official stated, "As part of the organizational restructuring in November last year, we established the Financial Bonds Headquarters and separated the Comprehensive Finance Division to revitalize non-card financial services."
In November last year, following MBK Partners' acquisition of Lotte Card, the company carried out its first organizational restructuring. They established a responsibility management system with four headquarters: the Management Strategy Headquarters, Marketing Digital Headquarters, Financial Bonds Headquarters, and Sales Headquarters, creating a performance-oriented organizational structure.
The Management Strategy Headquarters strengthened company-wide communication and strategic functions, while the Marketing Digital Headquarters integrated marketing and digital business to enhance synergy. The Financial Bonds Headquarters was organized to activate the installment finance sector by separating non-card finance, and the Sales Headquarters focuses on attracting both individual and corporate members.

Notably, external experts were recruited as heads of the Management Strategy Headquarters, Marketing Digital Headquarters, and Financial Bonds Headquarters. Seok Dong-il, former CEO of Samsung Card Customer Service, was brought in as head of the Management Strategy Headquarters. Vice President Seok is a finance expert who previously served as Head of Financial Planning Team and Executive Director in charge of Credit Management at Samsung Card. Park Ik-jin, who became Vice President and head of the Marketing Digital Headquarters, previously served as CMO Vice President at Orange Life. He also held positions as a McKinsey partner and Head of Planning Support Division at Hyundai Card. Vice President Gu Young-woo, head of the Financial Bonds Headquarters, has experience as CEO of HK Savings Bank and CEO of Korea Retail Investment Management.
