Poet Seo Jeong-tae, Younger Brother of Midang, Passes Away on the 11th at Age 97
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Poet Seo Jeong-tae, the younger brother of poet Seo Jeong-ju, passed away on the 11th at the age of 97.
Born in 1915 in Gochang, Jeonbuk, the deceased worked as a journalist from the 1940s and published poems in daily newspapers. He worked as a journalist for 30 years in local newspapers in Jeollabuk-do, including Minju Ilbo and Jeonbuk Ilbo. He was also active in the right-wing literary magazine 'Yesul Burak'.
His poetry collections include 'Songs of Heaven and Earth' and 'Just Let It Be'.
He was eight years younger than Seo Jeong-ju and had a close brotherly relationship, becoming a poet under his brother's influence. Together with his brother and sister, he also created a literary collection called 'Brotherly Poetry Collection'.

The funeral parlor is at Gochang Goindol Funeral Hall in Jeonbuk, and the funeral procession will be held on the 13th.
