United Future Party: "Moon Administration's 'Nuclear Phase-Out' Pushes Large Corporations to Ruin... First Case Since GM Daewoo"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Future United Party criticized Doosan Heavy Industries, which has been hit hard by the 'nuclear phase-out' policy and has begun considering a temporary shutdown, saying it is "due to the Moon administration's irresponsible and irrational nuclear phase-out policy."
Jeon Hee-kyung, spokesperson for the United Party, stated in a commentary on the 12th, "The Future United Party will definitely win in this general election and abolish the disastrous nuclear phase-out policy."
Doosan Heavy Industries has suffered a net loss of 1 trillion won over five years due to the impact of the nuclear phase-out, and has submitted a labor-management consultation request containing the details of a 'management temporary shutdown,' beginning consideration of a shutdown. As the cause of this measure, they pointed to the government's nuclear phase-out policy, stating, "the cancellation of nuclear power projects caused 10 trillion won worth of orders to evaporate, accelerating the management crisis."
Spokesperson Jeon criticized, "Ignoring common sense and national interests, this policy was hastily pushed forward as a slave to leftist radical ideology," adding, "With the nuclear power plant operation rate dropping to half, a sound company is now considering a temporary shutdown, and about 200 subcontractor employees are also at risk of losing their jobs."
