He also hinted at the possibility of running as a proportional representative for the Open Democratic Party.
On the 12th, Supreme Council Member Park appeared on KBS Mokpo radio program ‘Start of the West Coast Era’ and shared his views on the parliamentary election in the Mokpo area.
Regarding his participation in the Open Democratic Party, which focuses on proportional representation, Park said, “I decided to participate after three invitations from National Assembly member Sohn Hye-won,” adding, “I agreed with the suggestion that building connections on the central political stage would help regional development.”
When asked about running as a proportional representative, he said, “Registration will take place on the 25th and 26th. Although time is tight, we need to observe a bit more from the Open Democratic Party’s perspective,” and hinted at the possibility by saying, “I think it would be better for regional development in Mokpo to have a proportional representative National Assembly member from the region.”
Regarding participation in the Democratic Party’s proportional representation coalition party, he said, “Nothing has been decided yet,” indicating the possibility of the Open Democratic Party’s independent course.
About his future plans, Supreme Council Member Park said, “I will work hard for the election of the Open Democratic Party’s proportional representative in the April 15 Mokpo parliamentary election.”
