Park Gwonsuk Poet of 'Kkot-ui Hwabeop' Wins Korean Sijo Grand Prize
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jong-gil] The specialized sijo journal "Sijosihak" announced on the 11th that poet Park Kwon-sook has been selected as the recipient of this year's Korean Sijo Award. The awarded works include "The Language of Flowers" and two other poems. The prize money is 10 million won. The excellence awards were given to poets Kwon Gap-ha, Moon Soon-ja, Park Myung-sook, Yeom Chang-kwon, Woo Eun-sook, Lee Jong-moon, Lim Sung-gu, and Jin Soon-boon. Poets Park Young-gyo and Han Bun-ok will receive the Jo Un Literary Award in honor of Jo Un. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in May.
