Daegu 'COVID-19' Self-Quarantine Person Leaves Address and Moves to Jinju
Shincheonji Trainee Tests Positive After Returning to Hometown

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 11th that additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have occurred. The confirmed case is a 23-year-old woman residing and working in Daegu, identified as a trainee of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Daegu.
According to Jinju City on the 12th, this woman was designated as a self-quarantined person in Buk-gu, Daegu, with the quarantine period ending on the 11th. However, as a preliminary step for lifting the quarantine for Shincheonji trainees, she underwent a COVID-19 test in Daegu on the 8th and moved from Daegu to her home in Jinju with her family in her father's car around 8 p.m. on the same day.
It was also confirmed that the woman visited Daiso Jinju Dodong Branch and GS25 Jinju Sangpyeong Branch on the 10th.
On the 11th at around 11:45 a.m., the city received notification from the Buk-gu Daegu Public Health Center that the woman tested positive. The confirmed patient's residence, Daiso Jinju Dodong Branch, and GS25 Jinju Sangpyeong Branch were disinfected and temporarily closed. An epidemiological investigation is underway to identify contacts through CCTV footage of the places visited by the confirmed patient.
