[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Two government officials at the Sejong Government Complex have tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Including them, a total of nine government officials at the Sejong Complex have been confirmed with COVID-19.
According to Sejong City on the 12th, a woman in her 40s (#18) from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and a man in his 50s (#19) from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
Earlier, the day before, three officials from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and one official from the Ministry of Education were added to the list of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Including these individuals, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among government officials at the Sejong Complex by ministry is highest in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries with five, followed by one each from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Education, and the Presidential Archives.
The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Sejong area increased to 19 as of 8:30 a.m. on the 12th.
