View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) is launching a text message service to alleviate residents' anxiety caused by the spread of COVID-19 and to provide prompt and accurate information.
The COVID-19 text message service quickly delivers information related to Dongjak-gu's COVID-19 situation via text messages, including urgent COVID-19 announcements, confirmed cases, and movement routes.
Previously, disaster text messages were limited to 90 characters, making it impossible to provide detailed information, and messages were only received within a 10km radius, so residents living farther away did not receive the messages.
Accordingly, the district has established a text message service application program on its website and started operating the 'Apply for Text Message Service' page. Residents who agree to provide personal information and complete the application can start receiving messages from the 17th.
Additionally, to assist vulnerable groups such as the elderly who have difficulty accessing information online, a text message service application reception team will operate until the 31st. Residents wishing to apply by phone can contact the application reception team (☎820-1850~9) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
