Six-Month Rent Reduction for Small Business Tenants and SMEs at Jinheungwon
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement announced on the 10th that it will reduce rent for small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing economic difficulties due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The rent reduction applies to 34 small business owners and small and medium-sized robot companies residing in the institute. From this month, a 25% discount on rent will be provided for six months. The total support amount is approximately 31 million KRW.
The government is conducting the "Good Landlord Movement by Public Institutions" to minimize the economic damage caused by COVID-19.

Moon Jeon-il, president of the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, said, "We decided to reduce rent to provide practical help to small business owners and SMEs," adding, "We will strive to fulfill our role as a public institution that fulfills social responsibility, including coexistence with the local community."
