On the same day, Prime Minister Chung held a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) for the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) at the Government Seoul Office and stated, "Related ministries and local governments must keep in mind that small-scale group infections can become a trigger for another large spread and do their best in quarantine."
Prime Minister Chung said, "I came to Seoul briefly to attend the National Assembly Budget and Accounts Committee (BAC) tomorrow," and added, "After the National Assembly session ends, I will return to Daegu to check additional measures needed and plan to overcome the crisis together."
He continued, "During the two weeks I stayed as the head of the headquarters, I saw that all public officials and citizens in Daegu were fighting COVID-19 in a very orderly and exemplary manner," and added, "During those two weeks, I felt, 'This is the dignity of Daegu.' I saw the dignity of Daegu."

Prime Minister Chung said, "As the COVID-19 situation prolongs, the difficulties of the people are increasing, and everyone is well aware that the hardships the people are currently experiencing are extremely serious," and urged, "Along with doing our best in quarantine, please also do your best in protecting vulnerable groups and efforts to recover the depressed livelihood economy."
