‘Warm Winter’…WEMAKEPRICE, Spring Clothes Sales Increase Up to 11 Times
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Due to warmer winter weather than usual, the number of consumers seeking new spring clothing early has increased.
Wemakeprice announced on the 9th that, after analyzing spring clothing sales trends from January to February, sales of denim jackets, a representative spring garment, surged more than 11 times (1047.6%) compared to the same period last year.
Transitional jumpers and windbreakers, worn to guard against the late winter cold snaps, also rose by 642.94% and 396.56%, respectively.
In the women's clothing sector, sales of light-material garments such as tweed jackets (318.11%), see-through blouses (66%), and lace dresses (44.25%) increased.
On the other hand, thick winter clothing such as long padded jackets, coats, and fleece-lined pants declined by an average of about 77% during the same period.
A Wemakeprice official stated, "Compared to last year, this winter was warmer, so the launch of new spring clothing was brought forward by about two weeks. In particular, outerwear useful for transitional seasons is showing strong performance."
