11 Small Businesses in Station Premises to Receive 20% Rent Reduction for 3 Months
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Busan Gimhae Light Rail Transit (CEO Kim Hwan-guk) announced on the 8th that it will join the 'Good Rent Movement' to support small business owners operating within stations who are struggling due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The rent reduction applies to all 11 small business stores operating within the light rail transit stations. The reduction is temporarily applied to rent from March to May, with a 20% discount on rent.

In addition to the rent reduction, the light rail transit is conducting daily disinfection and sterilization of station facilities frequently used by passengers and inside the trains to revitalize small business stores. Furthermore, light rail transit employees will also participate in a 'blood donation campaign' on the 10th at the light rail transit vehicle depot in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross Blood Donation Center in Gimhae to help with the emergency blood supply caused by COVID-19. CEO Kim Hwan-guk said, "As everyone is facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 situation, it is time for us to take the lead as a representative company of the local community," adding, "We will make efforts in various ways not only through the Good Rent Movement and blood donation campaign but also to overcome COVID-19."
