On the 8th, CJ Olive Young announced that it will carry out the ‘For Women’ campaign for women in celebration of ‘International Women's Day.’ The campaign emphasizes the importance of healthy Y-zone care and aims to expand opportunities to experience women’s products.
The women’s product market has been rapidly growing every year. In fact, CJ Olive Young’s sales analysis from 2016 to 2019 shows that sales of women’s products increased by a remarkable 140% compared to 2016, three years earlier. By product category, sanitary pads grew by 153% and feminine cleansers by 113% during the same period.
In particular, the organic sanitary pad market has expanded. This is because many consumers have become more meticulous about ingredients and materials following the 2017 sanitary pad harmful substance controversy. Additionally, awareness of feminine cleanser use has increased, and with a wider variety of products such as tissues and mists, the related market is also advancing. CJ Olive Young doubled the number of products handled in response to the needs of women in their 20s and 30s from 2016 to 2019.
In line with these trends, CJ Olive Young will hold two themed events nationwide in stores and on its official online mall during the campaign period. From the 9th to the 15th, a discount event will be held for ‘Aromatica Pure and Soft Feminine Cleanser,’ one of Olive Young’s representative popular products. The second event will take place from the 13th to the 19th, offering up to an additional 30% discount on various women’s products including organic sanitary pads and feminine cleansers.
Along with this, content promoting the ‘Smile Pouch Kit’ and ‘Proper Y-zone Care Methods’ has been planned. The ‘Smile Pouch Kit’ consists of a portable pouch for storing sanitary pads and six types of organic sanitary pads. It will be given as a first-come, first-served gift for purchases of sanitary pads over 10,000 won starting from the 13th. From the 9th, Olive Young’s official Instagram will communicate with customers under the theme ‘Healthy Y-zone Care Q&A’ and plans to hold a raffle event.
