The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight, the number of confirmed cases in the country increased by 483 compared to 4 p.m. the previous day. The additional patients in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions totaled 455, accounting for 94.2% of all new cases.
By region, the additional cases were 390 in Daegu, the highest number, followed by Gyeongbuk (65), Gyeonggi (10), Gyeongnam (5), Chungbuk (5), Seoul (3), Chungnam (2), Busan (1), Sejong (1), and Gangwon (1).
