Gyeongbok University to Conduct Online Remote Classes for 3 Weeks After Semester Starts
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University will conduct online remote classes for three weeks after the semester begins in response to COVID-19.
Kyungbok University announced on the 6th that it has finalized the first semester academic schedule, which includes three weeks of online classes from the semester start on the 16th until the 3rd of next month, followed by a return to normal classes starting on the 6th of next month.
The revised first semester academic schedule consists of a total of 16 weeks: three weeks of online classes and 13 weeks of regular classes, with the semester ending on July 3rd.
The online class format includes non-face-to-face classes such as online remote lectures and assignments-based classes.
Kyungbok University has also postponed the dormitory move-in dates to the 4th and 5th of next month.

Earlier, Kyungbok University formed a COVID-19 Emergency Response Committee to prevent the spread of the virus and is controlling all building entrances except the main gate. Additionally, all faculty and staff are required to check their temperature daily and wear masks, all buildings are disinfected regularly, and Chinese international students moving into the dormitory undergo daily temperature checks once a day, while local residents are monitored for symptoms at least twice daily.
