Asung Daiso Donates 3,500 Children's Clothing Items to Welfare Facilities and Foster Families
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Asung Daiso Co., Ltd., a fixed-price household goods store, announced on the 6th that it has delivered more than 3,500 children's clothing items to welfare facilities and foster families to contribute to the local community.
Asung Daiso established a connection with the Korea Social Welfare Association in December last year to sponsor happiness boxes for single-parent families and planned sharing activities. Later, upon learning that 290 children in five welfare facilities and foster families nationwide operated by the Korea Social Welfare Association needed clothes, they decided to support children's clothing.
The children's clothing products consist of 11 winter items such as long-sleeve T-shirts and elastic long pants, and 6 summer items such as girls' dresses and elastic shorts, making them suitable for all four seasons.
Through the Korea Social Welfare Association, Asung Daiso delivered children's clothing to welfare facilities such as Gyeonggi Northern Temporary Child Protection Center, Open House for Single-Parent Families (Seoul), Ingater for Single-Parent Families (Daegu), Comfortable House for Single-Parent Families (Gwangju), and Sarangsaem for Single-Parent Families (Busan), as well as foster families across the country.
Asung Daiso plans to continue practicing sharing with neighbors in need through institutions and private organizations such as the Korea Social Welfare Association.
