"Kim Yo-jong's Bitter Words Make Moon Look Rejected"... United Future Party Criticizes Government's North Korea Response
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The United Future Party criticized the government's lax response after Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of Chairman Kim Jong-un, unleashed harsh words calling the Blue House "incompetent."
On the 4th, Jeon Hee-kyung, spokesperson for the United Future Party, stated, "Kim Yo-jong, who was submissively polite in front of President Xi Jinping, has now arrogantly poured out scathing insults toward the Republic of Korea."
Spokesperson Jeon pointed out, "This concerns the national dignity of the Republic of Korea, and it is like the Moon Jae-in administration bowed its head to the Baekdu bloodline only to be kicked away," adding, "Isn't it time for President Moon Jae-in and his followers to realize that North Korea's smiling face was a cheap show? The hand extended for a handshake was actually a dirty hand for nuclear development."
He continued, "Just one day after President Moon Jae-in's March 1st Independence Movement Day commemorative speech expressing hope for 'joint cooperation with North Korea in the health sector,' North Korea responded with a show of force," and criticized, "The Ministry of Unification is making frustrating remarks about finalizing individual tours to the North, inter-Korean border area cooperation, and health sector collaboration as major tasks for this year."
Spokesperson Jeon said, "How can this humiliating behavior of clinging and begging, even when threatened with weapons, be considered a sovereign nation or a firm security consciousness?" adding, "While talking about the joint safety of 80 million compatriots, the lives of 50 million of our people are in danger. The highest priority of state affairs must be the protection of our own citizens."
