CU launches emotional 'DellaFe'... Collaboration with 22 domestic young artists
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CU announced on the 4th that it will feature works by emerging young Korean artists on the design of its summer signature beverage, 'Dellaffe.'
A total of 22 young artists participated in the CU Dellaffe 'Ice Drink Design,' including artists Hyunhee Lee, Jiyoung Park, Hello Yanggaeng, and Mina Yeom.
The front of the Dellaffe package carries the phrase "CU supports the dreams of young emerging artists," while the back features messages that the artists want to convey to customers through their artwork.
This year, CU's Dellaffe product lineup includes about 30 items such as coffee, ade, tea beverages, and traditional drinks, priced at 1,200 KRW for the regular size and 1,700 KRW for the big size (including cup ice). Dellaffe is a popular CU product with nearly 100 million cups sold annually.
This year, CU is strengthening its tea beverage offerings by targeting female customers with Orange Grapefruit Black Tea, Lemon Earl Grey Tea, and Blossom Hibiscus Tea, while introducing Honey Barley Hovenia Tea, known for its hangover relief benefits, aimed at male customers.
These products will be released sequentially starting from the 5th of this month. Last year, CU was the first in the industry to introduce fruit juice cup ice, and this lineup has expanded to include watermelon, green grape, and calamansi flavors. CU also plans to add sparkling water and carbonated drinks specifically for cup ice in the future.
