Seven Eleven Launches Small-Sized Premium Snack 'Gana Popcorn'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 4th that it has launched 'Gana Popcorn.'
'Gana Popcorn' is a product that combines Lotte Confectionery's chocolate 'Gana Chocolate' with popcorn. It features a rich Gana Chocolate coating on the popcorn, offering a sweet and savory taste, and the packaging uses the distinctive design of Gana Chocolate as is.
The newly introduced product is based on the recent food industry trend of 'one-hand snacks.' It is made thinner and longer than existing products to be easy to hold and eat directly from the bag with one hand, making it convenient to enjoy as a light snack anytime and anywhere.
Meanwhile, 7-Eleven has been operating a total of 15 types of one-hand snack products, following the launch of its exclusive private brand (PB) products last month and additionally introducing the 'Gana Popcorn' collaboration product. Sales have also continued to grow by about 20% monthly on average.
