Launched in September last year under the direction of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, the Reform Committee holds meetings every Monday and has issued a total of 14 recommendations as of the 24th of last month. The 14th recommendation included the need to amend the Criminal Procedure Act to guarantee the rights of defense counsel to advise, consult, and express opinions during suspect interrogations.
