Ahn Cheol-soo Volunteers for COVID-19 in Daegu... "No Set Time Limit"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] It has been confirmed that Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, went down to Daegu, where the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is rapidly increasing, and is volunteering in medical service.
Ahn’s side stated, "Currently, after registering as a medical volunteer at Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital, he is providing medical care to patients." It is also known that his wife, Professor Kim Mi-kyung of Seoul National University, joined the volunteer efforts.
Ahn is a doctor who earned a Ph.D. in medicine from Seoul National University College of Medicine. He also served as the head of the pre-medical department at Dankook University College of Medicine. His wife is also a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine.
Ahn’s side said, "Daegu currently has over 2,500 confirmed cases, and about 1,800 patients are waiting to be admitted. In response, about 100 doctors and medical personnel from across the country have rushed to Daegu and are fighting hard while volunteering, and Ahn is also currently providing medical care as a doctor."
