[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] On the 1st, the ruling and opposition parties agreed to handle the supplementary budget for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and related tax support legislation during the February extraordinary session of the National Assembly.
Lee In-young of the Democratic Party, Shim Jae-cheol of the United Future Party, and Yoo Seong-yeop, floor leader of the Democratic United Gathering (Mintongmo), met at the National Assembly and reached this agreement, according to Kim Han-pyo, the United Future Party's senior deputy floor leader.
Additionally, regarding electoral district delimitation, "there has been considerable approach from both ruling and opposition parties, and it was decided to finalize it at the Administrative and Security Committee secretaries' meeting tomorrow morning and the floor leaders' meeting in the afternoon," said Jang Jeong-suk, senior deputy floor leader of Mintongmo.

The ruling and opposition parties also agreed to hold a floor leaders' meeting immediately after the plenary session to discuss pending livelihood bills in the National Assembly. Yoon Hu-duk, senior deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party, stated, "We will finalize the upcoming schedule and negotiate as many livelihood bills as possible."
