United Future Party: "Cheong, Lying to the Public by Citing False Statistics"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The United Future Party raised its voice, calling the briefing by Blue House spokesperson Kang Min-seok, who said that "a complete ban on Chinese entry has no practical effect," as using incorrect figures and labeling it as "nonsense statistics."
Lee Jun-ho, the youth spokesperson for the United Future Party, pointed out in a statement on the 28th, "The Blue House spokesperson lied to the public by citing bogus statistics."
Earlier, on the 27th, spokesperson Kang cited statistics from the Ministry of Justice's Immigration Situation Room, stating, "The number of our citizens departing for China is nearly twice as many as the Chinese entering our country," reiterating the position that a ban on Chinese entry is not possible. However, these statistics only compiled the number of Chinese entering Korea from China and Chinese departing Korea for China, without including the number of Koreans departing for China.
