Jindo-gun Public and Private Sectors Unite to Overcome COVID-19

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo County, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 28th that the public and private sectors are working together to implement proactive quarantine measures to overcome ‘COVID-19’.
At Nokjin Rest Area near Jindo Bridge, the gateway to Jindo, public officials have been conducting fever checks on all vehicle passengers in three shifts, 24 hours a day, since the 24th.
Within two days of operating the fever inspection site, consolation goods worth about 2 million won were delivered from various sectors to comfort the public officials responsible for frontline quarantine efforts.
Also, starting from the 27th, volunteer recruitment began, and currently, 250 volunteers have volunteered to help overcome ‘COVID-19’.
In addition, the county delivered clean agricultural and marine products from Jindo to help citizens of Daegu Metropolitan City, where many confirmed cases of ‘COVID-19’ have occurred.
On the 27th, 80 boxes of spring cabbage, directly cultivated by residents’ autonomous members of Gunnae-myeon, were delivered to Nam-gu Office in Daegu.
A Jindo County Safety Life Support Division official said, “The continuous line of volunteers and the cooperation between the public and private sectors, along with the warm support of the residents, are a great strength in overcoming ‘COVID-19.’ We will do our best to protect clean Jindo.”

Meanwhile, Jindo County is also working to block the local spread of the ‘COVID-19’ virus among vulnerable groups by investing 110 million won to provide 88,000 masks to about 4,000 low-income residents in the county.
