3 Additional COVID-19 Cases in Daejeon and 2 in Cheonan (Update 2)
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported in Daejeon and Cheonan, Chungnam.
According to Daejeon City on the 27th, three new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Daejeon on that day. Among them, one is a man in his 70s who was transferred from Chungnam Gongju Medical Center to Daejeon Eulji University Hospital for treatment, and the other two are colleagues of a 33-year-old researcher from the Korea Forest Research Institute who was confirmed positive the previous day.
The city is currently identifying the movement paths and contacts of the newly confirmed cases based on their statements. They also announced that a briefing related to the confirmed cases will be held at 10:30 AM.
In Chungnam, two more confirmed cases were added. The list of confirmed cases includes Ms. A, a 46-year-old woman residing in Cheonan, and Ms. B, a 38-year-old woman.
According to Chungnam Province and Cheonan City, Ms. A visited the Seobuk-gu Public Health Center (screening clinic) on the 26th after experiencing fever and sore throat since the 22nd, and was confirmed positive around 6:10 PM on the 26th.

Ms. B visited Soonchunhyang University Hospital (screening clinic) on the 25th after symptoms such as fever, chills, headache, and muscle pain began on the 23rd, and was confirmed positive around 6:50 PM on the 26th.
