As of 4 p.m. on the 23rd, the 'COVID-19 crisis alert' was raised to the 'serious' level, and the agency switched to a 24-hour emergency response system and is actively responding.
To prevent the internal inflow of 'COVID-19' into the agency building, temperature checks are conducted when employees enter and exit, and those not wearing masks are denied entry. For visitors, only those wearing masks and without fever are allowed to conduct business with the responsible staff in designated areas within the building (the civil service building rest area).
Additionally, at sites with high infection risk such as police substations and patrol vessels, unnecessary inspections and patrols of fishing boats are discouraged within the scope that does not interfere with basic duties to minimize infection through contact with the public. Each department has designated and operates quarantine officers to strengthen quarantine measures.
In particular, in the event of an emergency patient in island areas, according to the 'Infectious Disease Disaster Crisis Response Manual,' crew members wear quarantine equipment such as masks and protective clothing before transport, prepare separate isolation areas in case of suspected infection transport, and conduct self-quarantine for operating personnel after transport in preparation for positive cases, actively implementing preventive measures according to the manual.
