Bareunmirae, Daean, and Pyeonghwa "To Complete Merger Procedures by the 24th"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The Bareunmirae Party, the Alternative New Party, and the Party for Democracy and Peace have agreed to complete the merger process by the 24th.
On the 20th, the three-party integration promotion meeting held a press conference at the National Assembly Press Center and stated, “Currently, all representatives will resign, and each party will recommend one representative to elect three co-representatives. Among them, the co-representative recommended by the Bareunmirae Party will be registered with the National Election Commission as the representative of the integrated party,” adding, “It is the principle to operate the party based on the agreement of the three co-representatives.”
They said, “The supreme council of the integrated party will consist of three members, each recommended by the respective parties, along with a few representatives from the Future Youth and small business sectors,” and “The party name will be discussed later. The integrated party will hold a party convention in May this year to elect the leadership.”
They also stated, “The integrated party will actively promote integration with groups such as the youth future generation and the Small Business Association who agree with the integrated party’s platform immediately upon integration.”

Park Joo-sun, the chairman of the Bareunmirae Party’s Grand Integration Promotion Committee, said in a meeting with reporters immediately after the press conference, “The three-party integration agreement was effectively ratified within the parties before its announcement,” and added, “Of course, Son Hak-gyu, the representative of the Bareunmirae Party, also agreed to the merger plan.”
