[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] WI announced on the 19th that it has signed an official license agreement with the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) to release products using the Pengsoo character.
A WI representative stated, "We have agreed to apply the Pengsoo character to mobile accessories and small household appliances," adding, "Starting in March, various products featuring Pengsoo will be launched on our online store, 'With Shop.'"
'Giant Peng TV,' produced by EBS, has surpassed 2 million YouTube subscribers. It has emerged as a popular creator in Korea, crossing various channels and platforms.
Byun Ikseong, CEO of WI, said, "Recognized for our experience in launching various famous domestic character products, we decided to apply the Pengsoo character to a wide range of products," and added, "The unique charm of Pengsoo combined with our planning, design, and manufacturing expertise will create a significant impact in the character market."
