View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Daedong Industrial announced on the 19th that it will launch the '60 million rice transplanter (model DRP60)' equipped with various fully automatic functions, including straight-line autonomous driving.
This rice transplanter features numerous new automated functions that enhance the convenience of rice transplanting (rice seedling planting) work. It applies the 'Smart Turn' function, which automatically operates the raising and lowering of the transplanting unit and marker, as well as the engagement and disengagement of the transplanting clutch during turns.
It also includes the 'Convenient Seedling Supply' function, where the transplanting unit rises to the preset position with a single button operation during seedling supply, and the 'One-Touch Seedling Edge Alignment' function, which moves the seedling tray to the edge during the initial transplanting.
By applying an 'Electronic Selection Dial,' functions that were previously operable by levers can now be used. This allows fine adjustments tailored to the user's working environment. Functions such as ▲adjusting the transplanting clutch operation timing during Smart Turn ▲seedling supply height adjustment ▲seedling tray alignment ▲automatic planting ▲leveling device height adjustment ▲and horizontal adjustment can all be controlled with a single electronic selection dial button.
The 'Engine ECO' function prevents unnecessary fuel consumption, and the adoption of a '40ℓ large-capacity tank' enables long hours of work on a single refueling, thereby reducing costs.
Straight-line autonomous driving was introduced last year. When starting transplanting, by operating the straight-line automatic lever once to register the automatic straight-line section, the transplanter automatically moves straight within that section, allowing the operator to plant seedlings without additional operation. Whereas previous transplanting work required two people?a seedling tray carrier and a transplanter operator?now the operator can both drive and carry seedling trays, enabling one-person transplanting work.

Beom Jong-gu, head of Daedong Industrial's domestic business division, said, "As the demand from farmers for efficient labor management and fast, convenient transplanting work grows, we have launched a rice transplanter equipped with autonomous driving and various fully automatic new functions. Starting with the straight-line autonomous rice transplanter, we will create an era of unmanned agricultural machinery that will be spotlighted in future rural areas."
