Seoul Jung-gu and Fire Insurance Association Promise Mutual Cooperation to Enhance Disaster Prevention and Safety Culture
Jung-gu Office and Korea Fire Insurance Association Sign MOU to Enhance Disaster Prevention and Safety Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jung-gu District in Seoul has joined hands with the Korea Fire Insurance Association to create a safer Jung-gu.
Jung-gu District Office (Mayor Seoyangho) and the Korea Fire Insurance Association (Chairman Yoonbae Lee) signed a "Business Agreement for Disaster Prevention and Safety Culture Improvement" on the afternoon of the 18th at the Deputy Mayor's Office on the 3rd floor of Jung-gu Office.
According to this agreement, both organizations will unite their efforts for mutual cooperation and support to enhance disaster prevention and safety culture.
As residents' interest in safety has increased due to various disaster risks, including last year's fire at Jeil Pyeonghwa Market, the district plans to strengthen specialized fire prevention education for residents living in fire-vulnerable facilities and the community. This agreement will serve as an opportunity to foster a safety culture where residents themselves make disaster prevention a daily practice.
Accordingly, the district will conduct 30 specialized fire prevention training sessions annually in collaboration with the Korea Fire Insurance Association. The association will provide instructors and cover 50% of the instructor fees.
Additionally, the association will provide related educational content to the district and offer consultation on fire prevention equipment such as fire extinguishing systems.
