According to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters on the 18th, the fire started around 7:21 PM on the 17th on a hillside near the Marine Corps 1st Division shooting range in Janggi-myeon, Nam-gu, Pohang.
The fire burned 0.15 hectares of forest land, causing property damage estimated at 1.21 million KRW (according to the fire station). There were no casualties.
Upon the outbreak, the fire authorities deployed four fire trucks, firefighters, and volunteer firefighters, and extinguished the fire in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
