National Tax Service and Korea Railroad Corporation Sign Business Agreement on Railroad Fare Discounts for Model Taxpayers

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] On the 18th, the National Tax Service announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Railroad Corporation to provide railway fare discounts to exemplary taxpayers.
This agreement aims to promote a mature taxpaying culture where diligent taxpayers are more favored by expanding preferential benefits for exemplary taxpayers.
The beneficiaries are exemplary taxpayers who receive awards such as commendations on Taxpayer's Day, which falls on the 3rd of next month. Awardees can receive fare discounts ranging from 10% up to 30% when using trains for work purposes on weekdays.
Kim Hyun-joon, Commissioner of the National Tax Service, stated, "Going forward, the National Tax Service will continue to strengthen substantial preferential benefits for exemplary taxpayers to ensure that a voluntary and sincere taxpaying culture spreads throughout our society."
