Professor Jaeseok Lee of GIST Appointed as Editorial Advisory Board Member of US 'Macromolecules'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (President Kim Gi-seon·GIST) announced on the 17th that Professor Lee Jae-seok of the Department of New Materials Engineering has been appointed as an Editorial Advisory Board member of Macromolecules, a journal of the American Chemical Society.
Professor Lee is recognized for his contributions to polymer synthesis and polymerization research.
Macromolecules is the most prestigious journal worldwide in the field of polymers published by the American Chemical Society, with an impact factor of 5.997 (IF=5.997).
Professor Lee has made significant contributions particularly in the field of polymer synthesis within polymer science and technology, having published 241 papers and filed 285 patents over more than 30 years focusing on polymers.
In addition, he has contributed to international research and development through 9 authored books and hundreds of lectures.

Meanwhile, Professor Lee has served as a professor in the Department of New Materials Engineering at GIST since 1994 and was appointed Distinguished Professor in 2015. In 2016, he was elected as a full member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, and in 2019, he was selected as a fellow of the Korean Polymer Society.
