Busan Dongnae-gu Supports Removal of Asbestos Slate Roofs
Expansion of Eligible Recipients, Amounts, and Scope Compared to Last Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] On the 14th, Dongnae-gu, Busan announced that it will implement the 'Asbestos Slate Roof Removal Cost Support Project' to protect residents' health and improve the residential environment.
To promote the project, Dongnae-gu signed a consignment contract with the Busan Environmental Corporation and expanded the scope of support to include non-residential buildings such as warehouses, increasing the number of removal targets and the amount of support compared to last year to enhance the project's efficiency.
Support for disposal costs will be provided up to a maximum of 3.44 million KRW for houses and up to 1.72 million KRW for non-residential buildings until the budget is exhausted. Any disposal costs exceeding these limits may require self-payment.
Households wishing to remove asbestos slate roofs can submit an application to the Environmental Sanitation Division of Dongnae-gu. After an on-site visit and slate area survey, the removal schedule will be coordinated and carried out.
