Qing Yixin, Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, stated at a press briefing on the 14th that as of the 11th, 1,716 cases of COVID-19 infection among medical personnel nationwide have been reported, accounting for 3.8% of the total confirmed cases nationwide.
Six medical personnel have died, representing 0.4% of the total deaths. Dr. Li Wenliang, the Wuhan doctor who first alerted the world to COVID-19 and was later punished as a rumor spreader, recently died from COVID-19.
