Naju City Holds 'Citizen Idea Contest' for Mahan Culture Festival Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 14th that it will hold a "Citizen Idea Contest" until the 11th of next month to discover innovative programs for the Korea Mahan Cultural Festival.
Now in its 6th year, the Korea Mahan Cultural Festival is scheduled to be held for three days from October 9th at the National Naju Museum area.
The city plans to strengthen cooperation with citizens, the main participants of the festival, through this contest and actively promote the original value of the festival, which is citizen harmony, by discovering fresh programs infused with regional characteristics.
The contest categories include exhibition and experience events that attract festival tourists' interest, programs linked to revitalizing the local economy, and other innovative idea contents to activate the Mahan Cultural Festival.
The contest period is until the 11th of next month, and the results will be announced on the city hall website next month after evaluation based on five criteria including feasibility and uniqueness of the proposed ideas.
To apply, participants must fill out the proposal and detailed project plan forms posted in the announcement section of the city hall website and submit them by visiting the History and Tourism Division of the city hall in person or via fax, mail, or email.
The city will select a total of 10 winning teams, awarding 500,000 KRW to 1 grand prize winner, 300,000 KRW each to 2 excellence award winners, and 100,000 KRW each to 7 encouragement award winners.
