[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] Kim Hyun-chul, the second son of the late former President Kim Young-sam and Executive Director of the Kim Young-sam Democracy Center, criticized Min Kyung-wook, a member of the Liberty Korea Party, who posted a post indiscriminately condemning the ruling party, calling him a "pathetic human."
On the 14th, Executive Director Kim wrote on his Facebook, "Because pathetic humans like Min Kyung-wook are in the Korea Party, no matter how crazy this administration acts, people say the opposition party is lucky." In the comments, he wrote, "Because such rotten X is in the Korea Party, tsk tsk."
This was in response to Min’s post on the 13th, where he published a 3,004-character poem starting with "You damn bastards!" on his Facebook.
The poem contained harsh criticisms of key ruling party figures such as President Moon Jae-in, former Presidential Secretary Im Jong-seok, Democratic Party leader Lee Hae-chan, and Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo. It also included references to martyr Kim Joo-yeol, who was a catalyst for the April 19 Revolution in 1960, and the late former lawmaker Roh Hoe-chan.
Regarding President Moon, the poem said, "The day Moon Jae-in’s X property is uncovered, you will belatedly realize how evil and filthy that guy is, and that day will also be the day you X go to hell in handcuffs and shackles," using abusive language.
It also criticized former presidents, saying, "Ah, whether it was the halo or whatever, people like Kim Dae-jung, a X, and Kim Young-sam, a X known for being a great thief, should have been completely ignored and dismissed!"
At the end of the post, Min stated, "Whoever wrote this is really a masterpiece, but it is said to be by poet Kim Ji-ha, though I am still verifying," clarifying that he did not write it himself.
The political circle poured criticism on Min’s post.
Justice Party spokesperson Oh Hyun-joo issued a statement saying, "The vulgar language Min uses can be heard anytime at rallies of the Taegeukgi faction he likes or on far-right YouTube broadcasts," adding, "The place suitable for Min is those marketplaces where such people gather, not the National Assembly."
