Yeonggwang-gun Holds 'First Half Rapid Execution Detailed Project Progress Report Meeting'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Joon-sung) announced on the 13th that it held the ‘2020 First Half Rapid Execution Detailed Project Progress Report Meeting’ at the county office to revitalize the local economy.
At the meeting, reports and hearings were conducted on future plans and difficulties of detailed projects over 100 million KRW, and measures were discussed through emergency bidding, activation of advance payment execution, and usage before supplementary budget establishment in accordance with the guidelines for active utilization of rapid execution.
This year, the county’s main budget amount is 513.9 billion KRW through expansionary budgeting in line with government policy, which is an increase of 71.6 billion KRW or 16.19% compared to last year’s main budget amount of 442.3 billion KRW.
The rapid execution target amount is 351 billion KRW (last year 277.5 billion KRW), and the goal amount is 200.1 billion KRW, which is 57% of the target amount, representing the largest scale of rapid execution promotion amount.
The county has organized and operates a Rapid Execution Promotion Team led by the deputy governor to achieve the goal and actively promote rapid execution.
In addition, it plans to continuously hold inspection meetings to identify difficulties in project promotion in advance and to devise ways to improve execution performance.

Governor Kim Joon-sung said, “As an economic downturn is expected due to COVID-19, we plan to actively execute consumption and investment areas closely related to daily life to revitalize the local economy,” and added, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we instructed to actively utilize contingency funds and disaster management funds to strengthen disinfection mainly in multi-use facilities and tourist sites and to distribute infection prevention supplies.”
